Between the 20th and 22nd of January 2015 we had about 90 kids from secondary schools visiting SARC.
We were a team of five, some of us from the department of Electrical Engineering too.
The idea was to show the kids some of the recent developments involved when working as a sonic artist or an engineer, including robotics, virtual reality and spatialisation/diffusion of sound.
They were a successful couple of days and we hope the kids had as much fun as we did. The format was pretty ‘hands-on’ and they all a go at all the equipment/resources available. Hopefully it will inspire them a little in wanting to do research themselves, sometime in the future?
Here are a few pics of the event.
